Birthday Blues

Once upon a time, i walked into a law court, my dad in tow, to formally swear that i was way older than i actually looked. In those days you see, the University considered a certain age too young to be admitted. I didn’t mind adding the years...i was too young to begrudge them a couple. How fearless we are when we are young!
March 4th, 2013

Older. Definitely Wiser. But mostly Thankful.

I’m older. By yet another year. What’s worse? I feel really old.
I’m wiser. Age is nothing but numbers really.

I’m thankful. Each year that comes and goes brings me closer to seeing and playing with my grand and great-grand kids. Yep, Chets is now appreciative of fine girls. It’s only a matter of time.
I’m absolutely thankful to God, for life, for good health, for family, for friends, for blessings too numerous to count. I’m thankful for every single one of you that whispered a word to God on my behalf. God bless us, hunnies. All of us.

    Happy Birthday Darling. This has to be my favourite picture of you thus far. You look absolutely beautiful. In the few short years between your visit to court and now, you have graduated, started a family, made gorgeous mini yous, started a business, held down a full time job, been an amazing wife and mother..... an all round super woman and you still manage to look like you are 25! Well done Hazel. Here's to another year of grabbing life by the..... horns ;)
